Celebrate the Holidays on the Water: Sarasota and Manatee County’s Festive Boat Parades
As the holiday season approaches, Sarasota and Manatee County are gearing up to celebrate one of the most magical traditions on the Gulf Coast: holiday boat parades. These glittering events transform our beautiful waterways into floating festivals of lights, bringing together our community in celebration of the season and the boating lifestyle that makes our area so special.
But this year, the holidays feel a bit different. After weathering hurricanes that left lasting marks on many of our waterfront neighborhoods, we approach these festive traditions with gratitude and resilience. While the sparkle of the lights will lift our spirits, the parades also serve as a reminder of the strength and unity of our coastal community.

Navigating the Season with Care
While the parades are a highlight of the season, we also recognize that the recent hurricanes have brought challenges for many waterfront homeowners and boaters. Some docks and marinas are still under repair, and a few of our favorite spots may look a little different this year.
As we celebrate, let’s also support our neighbors by shopping locally, dining at waterfront restaurants, and remembering the resilience that defines our community. The holiday boat parades are more than just festive events; they’re a testament to the joy and strength that unite us.
A Boater’s Holiday Tradition
